The Dahla Dam Improvement Project will raise Dahla Dam seven meters to increase reservoir storage for irrigation in the Arghandab Valley and future municipal water supply for Kandahar City. Phase 1 of the project consists of modifications to the inlet, outlet works, and appurtenant structures to accommodate an eight meter dam raise.
